As we welcome & embrace 2007, it is my pleasure as your President for the year 2006-2007, to share our new theme with you.  We put the challenge to the membership at large and the theme that was chosen is:  “Support. Share. Soar.”  This is what we do as an organization and it is our mandate to continue to do exactly that with all women who become involved with the Halifax Women’s Network.

We will continue to “share” personal & business success stories at the beginning of our meetings as…it sets an inclusive and connected tone.  As a result of the “sharing” that takes place, we are able to “support” our members in their endeavors and…watch them continue to “soar”!  What a gift!
I want to say THANKS to our Board members who gave of their

time throughout the year to attend each monthly meeting. Also, I want to extend a special thank you to our new website wizard, Kitt MacLean for her tireless effort & dedication in her new role with the Network.  Special thanks to Lee Ross…our new Treasurer (who has been doing a terrific job)!  Sheila Kelly, our new membership director…EXCELLENT!

I will end by saying...THANK YOU to all the Board members who have
decided to remain on the Board for another year and....we welcome
new members who are interested in taking on a leadership role for
2007-2008.  It's a wonderful way to learn, grow and contribute!
